Born in Roanoke, Virginia, in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I only lived there for two weeks, but I was named after a local flower, the mountain laurel!
Attended Pleasant Union Elementary School where I was a proud member of PUPS (Pleasant Union Panther Singers) and a news anchor for the school!
Attended West Millbrook Middle School (before it became a magnet school!) The best part was I got to take Show Choir instead of PE in 8th grade, so to get our wellness credit, we got to do some amazing Richard Simmons workout videos - look it up.
Graduated from Enloe High School - Go, Eagles! I was in chorus and theatre all four years. My favorite role was Beth in Little Women, The Musical! Playing a lunatic in Sweeney Todd was a close second... my grandpa said I was type-cast.
These are my fur babies, Sebastian and Littlefoot!

In 2013, I graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science in Teaching Theatre K-12 and a minor in Psychology.
Go, Mountaineers! I currently live in the Oak City, Raleigh, NC!
I am currently pursuing a Masters in Performing Arts Leadership and Management at Shenandoah University - Go, Hornets! I am excited to be continuing my life-long tradition of over commitment, and navigating the world of online learning as both a teacher and a student.
I love the mountains, hiking, animals (especially cats & caterpillars!), good books, bold choices, human rights, color-coding, and participating in theatre that sparks conversation and inspires social change.
My partner and I are planning our wedding for November, 2022!
