Play Review/Script Analysis

Throughout the course of the semester, you must complete one play review and one argumentative script analysis.

You may choose which assignment to complete during 1st quarter, and which to complete during 2nd quarter. Keep in mind that there will be more plays in production toward the beginning of the semester - don't wait until the last minute!

One of these assignments must be submitted no later than Friday, March 20th and the other no later than Friday, May 22nd.

These assignments will not be accepted late. Video recordings of performances do not qualify for the Play Review assignment - you must see a live production.

Important Dates

The final exam performance will take place on the evening of Tuesday, June 9th at 6:00 pm. You are required to attend. Put this event on your calendar now!

Cell Phone and Tardy Policy

Cell phones should be put away - in your bag, not your pocket -  during the class period. Never bring your phone on stage. If you are using your phone during the class period, you will be asked once to put it away. The second time you are found using your phone during class, you will store your phone in the locked filing cabinet for the remainder of the class period.

We abide by the school-wide tardy policy, as outlined below, and as is included in your AHS student handbook:

A tardy is defined as not being present in the room when the bell rings.
Tardies 1-4: Parent contact
Tardy 5: Parent contact, lunch detention
Tardy 6: Parent contact, 2 lunch detentions
Tardy 7: Parent contact, 3 lunch detentions
Tardy 8: One class period of in school suspension
Tardy 9: One full day of in school suspension and possible suspension of lunch pass
